The Pakistani cricket team has been in disarray, and their issues have been evident in a number of competitions and series, including the 2023 ODI World Cup and the 2024 T20 World Cup. Even with Gary Kirsten and other notable players in the mix, the Babar Azam-led team struggled mightily. In order to compete in the forthcoming red-ball series, PAK is looking for some much-needed improvements after a disastrous campaign. Wahab Riaz and Abdul Razzaq were dismissed from the selection committee board by the PCB, marking the first of the body's drastic changes. At last, Riaz has spoken out about the incident.

Pakistan Cricket has been in complete disarray for the past several weeks due to their significant shortcomings in the previous ICC competition. After he stepped down, Babar Azam was named captain, but it had no impact on the team as their miserable T20WC campaign went on. Pakistan Cricket fell to teams like the United States and India, and they were unable to advance to the Super 8 level. They advanced as Babar's captaincy remained beneath the spotlight and some crucial decisions were taken. Wahab Riaz, the PCB selection official, has provided a statement in response to Wahab Razzaq's and the committee's dismissal. He posted a lengthy comment along with a rather divisive caption.
'There is alot I can say but I don’t want to be part of the blame games,' he captioned his post on the social media platform X (Formerly Twitter).

Pakistan's T20 World Cup campaign was roundly criticised, whether it was because they lost to India when it may have been an easy win for the Men in Green, or because they unexpectedly lost to the United States. The PCB has started implementing major adjustments in the regime in an effort to improve circumstances before they start playing red-ball games, after the team as a whole has been chastised.
Pakistan will play a two-match Test series against Bangladesh before playing a three-match red-ball series against England.
