Apart from Markram, Rassie van der Dussen and Quinton de Kock have also recorded centuries as this is the first instance in the ODI World Cup where three different players registered centuries in a single match. South Africa had the perfect buildup as they came from behind to tame down Australia 3-2 in a five match ODI series. The retired cricketer brought up the record during a match against England in the 2011 World Cup and he took 50 balls to reach his century.
