India were finally crowned Champions of the World as their wait for World Cup glory finally came to an end when they defeated South Africa by 7 runs in a thrilling T20 World Cup 2024 final at the Kensington Oval in Barbados.
India's triumph had every Indian on top of their lungs and BCCI secretary Jay Shah was among one of those as his amazing reaction post the team's triumph reminded of every single Indian.

BCCI secretary before the tournament had promised that India will bring back the World Cup and hoist the Indian flag at Barbados as World Champions under the captaincy of Rohit Sharma.

As it turned out the Indian Cricket Team lived up to Jay Shah's promise and brought home the trophy the nation craved the most.
As India won, Jay Shah stormed into the field and was elated as he spread his arms wide and punched the air with the victory. He further went on to hug Hardik Pandya and raise him from the ground as he was super pumped after the team's win just like every Indian.

Jay Shah kept his word as India won the World Cup he helped Rohit Sharma plant the ‘Tiranga’ at the field of Kensington Oval in Barbados.
Hardik Pandya also joined in on the captain and secretary as they raised the flag and made ever Indian proud.
Jay Shah was also the special guest in Indian team's traditional medal giving ceremony to the best fielder in the game. As it turned out, Jay Shah awared the honour to none other than Suryakumar Yadav for his splendid catch of David Miller in the final over which effectively won India the World Cup.
