T Dilip took the team to the ground again

The team convened at fielding coach T Dilip's behest and once again he took the onus to bring an unusual way to highlight the winner, thus, the time came when the team was directed to grace the Chinnaswamy field again, where the potential winners and the ultimate champion were singled out.

IND vs NED CWC 2023: Suryakumar Yadav was adjudged with the best fielder award

While the big screen has been used on a few occasions as a prop in this procedure, it came into the picture yet again but this time it did not reveal the winner instantly, rather it was first facilitated to showcase the nominees for the award. Suryakumar Yadav, KL Rahul, and the ever-reliable Ravindra Jadeja were the players shortlisted. "Decision Pending" was shown on the screen, and then the ground staff took over the proceedings. The placards of S, U, R, Y, and A were shown by groundsmen, pronouncing Suryakumar Yadav as the winner. Then his name appeared on the big screen too, implying that a decision has been made.

Following the announcement, celebrations erupted, and Suryakumar Yadav was presented with the medal. He then greeted the ground's staff, and posed for a picture with them.
