South African batsman David Miller was reprimanded and given one penalty point for violating Level 1 of the ICC Code of Conduct during a Super Eights Group 2 T20 World Cup match against England. Miller was judged to have violated Article 2.8 of the Code of Conduct for Players and Support Personnel, which prohibits "showing dissent at an umpire's decision during an international match."

The incident took place during the 19th over of South Africa's innings, when David Miller played a full toss throw from bowler Sam Curran, expecting it to be adjudged a 'no ball' due to the height. When it was not deemed a no-ball, the left-hander expressed his displeasure with the umpire's decision by signalling for a review when it could not have been.

The SA bowlers were able to put up enough resistance to not let the English batters reach the target and also took out some key wickets to limit them. In the end, South Africa triumphed over the defending champions, holding their nerve despite numerous errors, to maintain themselves in the title contention of the ongoing T20 World Cup.
