During the super-important Afghanistan vs Bangladesh Super 8 clash at the Arnos Vale Stadium, the Rashid Khan-led Afghan Atalans prevailed over the Bangla Tigers and have advanced into the semifinal stage for the IC Men;'s T20 World Cup. The match-up was absolute drama as rains occasionally caused interruptions and a lot of interesting moments took place. But one particular moment featuring Gulbadin Naib took place when he dramatically fell during the match. The instance drew a lot of attention as well as criticism as it effectively helped the team keep the opposition away from the needed score. Gulbadin's actions had left Australia skipper Mitchell Marsh rolling on the floor laughing

In a T20 World Cup match against Bangladesh, Afghanistan all-rounder Gulbadin Naib theatrically complained of cramps. Australia captain Mitchell Marsh found the incident amusing and called it one of the craziest things he had ever seen on the pitch.
"I was almost in tears laughing and at the end of the day it had no bearing on the game. So, we can laugh about it now – but, gee, it was funny. It was outstanding," AUS Skipper Marsh said to cricket.com.au.
The Australia skipper added that the entire side from down under was having a close look of the final Super 8 match and desperately wanted the team to advance into the tournament.
"We watched it (the match) as a group. It was obviously a pretty amazing game, wasn't it? A lot of twists and turns.

"Obviously, you want to keep playing this tournament and that was our only way of doing it. But there's also the element that it was completely out of our control and we only had ourselves to blame for that. We were all flat [when the final wicket fell]. We were desperate to continue in the tournament. But fair play to Afghanistan -– they beat us and they beat Bangladesh and they deserve to be in the semifinals," said Marsh.
During the crucial Super Eights match, where Afghanistan was leading, coach Jonathan Trott gave the signal to slow down play in anticipation of the impending rain. Naib, who was fielding in the slip, fell on his back while gripping his thighs during the 12th over. Later, Naib bowled two overs and enthusiastically took part in Afghanistan's victory celebrations — all without displaying the slightest sign of cramps.
