Shrugging the dreadful IPL 2024 season as the captain of Mumbai Indians, Hardik Pandya has made a phenomenal comeback in the ICC T20 World Cup 2024. While batting has proven to be a hard task in New York, Pandya has sizably shined with his ball. He has picked up a total of 7 wickets till now after the three matches that India have played. Following the culmination of a disastrous campaign in IPL 2024, some reports stated that Hardik Pandya's personal life has also shaken as rumours of a potential divorce with wife Natasa Stankovic became rife. However, with the passage of time, it seems everything is now hail and hearty on the personal front.

Tough summer for Hardik Pandya

After facing relentless booing from fans and witnessing MI crash out of the Playoffs race, Hardik was likely at one of his lowest points heading into the T20 World Cup. Additionally, rumors of a split with his wife, Natasa Stankovic, captivated the nation. Speculation arose when Natasa removed "Pandya" from her Instagram handle and archived some of their wedding photos. The situation escalated further when a Reddit post claimed Natasa would receive 70% of Hardik's assets and properties, causing a public uproar. Initially jeered by the public, Hardik eventually garnered sympathy, while Natasa faced significant backlash.

However, in the past 15 days, tensions have eased. Natasa has restored some photos with Hardik and shared Instagram stories of their son Agastya bonding with Rohit Sharma's daughter Samaira and Krunal Pandya's child. Throughout the controversy, Hardik remained silent, not addressing the speculated divorce at all. Yet, perhaps inadvertently, he has finally provided a glimpse into his personal life.

All is well between Mr. and Mrs. Pandya

Before India's T20 World Cup match against Pakistan, Hardik and some Indian players were greeted by none other than Ricky Ponting. The former Australian captain and current Delhi Capitals coach caught up with his DC teammates Axar Patel, Kuldeep Yadav, and Rishabh Pant before greeting Hardik. Here’s a summary of their brief and straightforward conversation.

  • Hardik Pandya: “Ricky! How's everything? How's family?”
  • Ricky Ponting: “They're good mate. Very good! How about yours?”
  • Hardik Pandya: "All good. All sweet."

That should definitively end the divorce rumors. Hardik's clear response suggests that everything is fine at home, with no signs of trouble.
