As Team India embarks on their Super 8 campaign, the tracks could pose a challenge to the Rohit Sharma-led side as they will face some of the top cricketing powerhouses. A lot of attention will remain on Suryakumar Yadav, who came out as a middle-order saviour for the side when they went against a dominant USA. With the Team training in the Caribbean, the tracks in Barbados are vastly different, and SKY looks to adapt to it.

Because of the characteristics of the wickets in the T20 World Cup matches in New York, Suryakumar Yadav has had to alter his approach. However, the batter anticipates that the Caribbean's surfaces will be far more favorable for stroke play.
"If have you been number one for two years, you should be able to bat in different conditions and change the game as per the needs of the team. That displays good batsmanship, and that is what I try.
"It's difficult to generate that force when there's no pace on the wicket and when someone has read your game nicely. So, at that time, you have to be very smart how you want to extend your innings. You have to change according to the situation, what team demands at that moment and talk to your partner who is inside, calm your nerves down and then take the innings ahead," Suryakumar Yadav expressed during his interaction with the media.

In the end, the ICC's number-one-ranked T20I batter looks to put runs on the scoreboard as the batter aims to take things positively and bring bout the same intent he did in New York.
"Nothing like that has happened. We try to play the format of the game. If there are early wickets you still have to put runs on the board and bat with that same intent. That is what we try and tell each other to take the positive route. The management has left it to the players to decide at that point of time," SKY added.
On Thursday, June 20, Team India will kick off their Super 8 campaign against Afghanistan. Their other games are against Bangladesh and Australia in St. Lucia, which has provided the tournament's greatest total thus far, as well as Antigua.
