Sachin Tendulkar wishes Team India luck ahead of their clash against Pakistan in the T20 WC

India's 2024 T20 World Cup match against Pakistan is set for Sunday, June 9, at Nassau County International Cricket Stadium in New York. Sachin Tendulkar has sent his best wishes. In thinking back on his 1992 World Cup match against Pakistan, Tendulkar said that the rivalry has only gotten stronger over time. He said he was sure both teams would play their hardest in this important ICC competition.

India and Pakistan will square off for the seventh time in the T20 World Cup with this game. India has won their head-to-head matches 5:1 in the past. A bowl-out memorably broke a stalemate in one 2007 match. India retaliated after their 10-wicket setback to Pakistan in the 2022 edition by defeating them by four wickets under the leadership of Rohit Sharma.

Tendulkar gave ANI his insights before the India-Pakistan T20 World Cup match:

“When we talk about tomorrow's match, which is going to be a big match, India vs Pakistan. It has always been a big match. My first World Cup experience against Pakistan was way back in 1992 in Australia. And from there on, the number of World Cup matches that we've played against each other, they've all been exciting, super exciting."

“I would like to wish both teams the very best of luck for tomorrow. I know both teams are well prepared to go out and give their best when it comes to sharing the best of luck that I have wished a little more towards India,"
