'If India takes that option': Anil Kumble suggests the BCCI to make a MASSIVE snub before Super 8
Team India veteran Anil Kumble wants the BCCI to make some viral changes to make the Men in Blue stronger before they begin the Super 8 stage in West Indies.

Team India has made their way into the Super 8 stage of the ICC Men's T20 World Cup 2024, but they dealt with intense competition in what was deemed a controversial track in New York. The two-packed track at the Nassau County International Cricket Stadium in New York did not work out for the batters, but it did wonders for the bowling arsenal as they came in full-blown attack mode. The Rohit Sharma-led side has made it to the Super 8 Stage and will be jetting off to West Indies. But before they head towards the Caribbean Islands, One of India's legendary cricket figures wants the BCCI to accommodate some changes in the bowling line-up.

Anil Kumble wants BCCI to drop a pacer before T20 World Cup's Super 8 stage begins!
As team India heads towards the West Indies leg of matches in Super 8, they would have to make up some necessary changes in order to decide the playing squad. Amid the chatter, Indian spin icon Anil Kumble urges the BCCI to make some amends and keep Arshdeep Singh in the mix. However, he also suggested to drop Siraj from the side.
"I think the way he [Arshdeep] bowled that last over against Pakistan, and also the way he can bowl in different areas in the T20 game, I think certainly puts him ahead of Mohammed Siraj.

“If at all India takes that option of going with just the two seamers and Hardik Pandya. So yes, in that sense, plus he also gives you an extra variety with his left-arm pace. So overall, he must be happy," the Indian spin legend and former India coach told ESPNCricinfo.

Kumble went on to say that Arshdeep may pair with all-rounder Hardik Pandya and that Jasprit Bumrah is still India's best option for the pace onslaught.
Team India's Path in the West Indies might be a bit difficult as they will battle some of the globe's top cricketing powerhouses in Super 8. Two of their matches have been decided, as the first one will be against Afghanistan and the third one will look like the ODI World Cup final re-match as it is against Australia. The second match's opponent is yet to be determined.
