IND vs PAK: Did India make a mistake by opening Virat Kohli at T20 WC? Fans rip apart decision

India took on Pakistan in the T20 World Cup 2024 group stage fixture and Virat Kohli's sluggish start to the campaign continued as he departed early on.

The India vs Pakistan match kicked off in a pause and play affair at the Nassau County Cricket Stadium as the rain played a massive spoil sport in the contest. But after much delays the rain finally stopped and the play resumed shortly afterwards in catastrophic fashion for Team India. 

The play resumed and Naseem Shah had the ball in hand for Pakistan. Virat Kohli was at the strikers end and he smashed the first ball for a four. The second delivery however turned catastrophic as Kohli leapt on a wide ball from Shah and ended up giving away his wicket cheaply for four runs to put India in trouble.

There was a lot of debate around whether Virat Kohli should open the innings for Team India or not but in the T20 World Cup Rohit Sharma and Rahul Dravid have decided to go ahead with Kohli. 

The start for Virat Kohli however hasn't been great as in his first two innings in the T20 World Cup 2024. In the first innings Kohli departed for only 1 run against Ireland while today he departed for 4 in mammoth clash. This has many fans questioning whether India made a mistake or not by opening Virat Kohli

Fans rip apart Virat Kohli after early dismissal vs Pakistan 

Fans did not take kindly to Virat Kohli getting out early on against Pakistan. Many fans questioned that maybe Indian team management made a mistake by starting Virat Kohli as an opener and requested him to go back to number three.
