The cricket world witnessed another classic instance when the Indian captain misplaced the coin during the toss before the India-Pakistan T20 World Cup 2024 match in New York on June 9.

Rohit Sharma involved in a hilarious moment during toss

The 2024 T20 World Cup hadn't garnered much excitement from major cricket fans until the highly anticipated India vs Pakistan match. India began their campaign with an impressive eight-wicket victory over Ireland, while Pakistan suffered a surprising defeat in a Super Over thriller against the USA in their first match of the tournament. 

As both teams prepared for their much-awaited clash amidst a rain delay, Indian captain Rohit Sharma's antics at the toss grabbed headlines.

During the delayed toss at Nassau County International Cricket Stadium, with Ravi Shastri overseeing the proceedings alongside Rohit Sharma, Babar Azam, and match referee David Boon, the Indian captain was ready to flip the coin. However, he momentarily forgot where the coin was, leaving Babar Azam and Ravi Shastri visibly puzzled. The brief confusion ended when the 37-year-old found the coin in his pocket, allowing the toss to proceed.

The lighthearted moment was shared not only among the officials and captains but also entertained fans on Twitter, who enjoyed Rohit Sharma's humorous mishap.
