Ahead of the crucial encounter, Pakistan's fast-bowling sensation Shaheen Shah Afridi shared a heartwarming moment with Indian fans ahead of Pakistan’s T20 World Cup 2024 match at the Nassau County International Cricket Stadium in New York.

Indian fans make hilarious request to Shaheen Afridi

According to Pakistani media reports, Shaheen Shah Afridi enjoyed some fun interactions with Indian cricket team supporters at Times Square. In a viral video on social media, a fan is heard jokingly saying, "Achi bowling nahi karni hai. Rohit ko aur Virat ko apna dost samjho (Don't bowl well. Consider Rohit and Virat your friend)." 

The same fan mentioned traveling all the way from Vancouver to watch the highly anticipated match between the arch-rivals. He expressed his excitement upon meeting Shaheen Shah Afridi, saying, “Kya surprise mila (What a surprise).”

Pakistan didn't have the most memorable start in the current edition of the T20 World Cup. They lost to the United States (USA) in a thrilling match that went down to the Super Over. Shaheen Shah Afridi impressed with the bat, scoring 23 runs off 16 balls, including 1 four and 2 sixes, in the match.
