Jasprit Bumrah was named man of the match for his splendid performance in India vs Pakistan clash in the Group A fixture at T20 World Cup 2024 at the Nassau County International Cricket Stadium. 

Not only did Jasprit Bumrah take the limelight with his performance, in a video posted by ICC on social media, Bumrah was interviewed by her wife and anchor Sanjana Ganesan. Towards the end of the interview the couple shared a hilarious moment with each other and that has started doing the rounds on Social Media. 

India had set Pakistan a target of only 120 runs to chase in 20 overs. Pakistan were cruising along in the chase but then Jasprit Bumrah pulled off a remarkable spell of 3/14 in four overs to script one of India’s most remarkable victories at T20 World Cup 2024. The victory meant that India defended its lowest ever total in the T20 World Cup.

Jasprit Bumrah pokes fun at wife Sanjana Ganesan

In a video posted by ICC, Jasprit Bumrah was interviewed by wife Sanjana Ganesan. Towards the end of interview the couple who had kept it professional throughout poked a little fun as Sanjana Ganesan signed off with, “see you soon” to which Jasprit Bumrah replied with “see you in 30 minutes”, joking about the fact that the couple will soon meet each other. As Bumrah joked and went off, Ganesan answered back with a joke of her own and asked Jasprit Bumrah, “What’s for dinner”. 

The hilarious exchange between the husband and wife went viral on Social Media as fans enjoyed the moment.

Jasprit Bumrah on how India went about their defence against Paksitan

Much before in the interview, Jasprit Bumrah revealed that India were quite clear with  their plans and maintained their composure throughout the innings to not force any panic. This was the biggest reason behind India’s win according to Bumrah. 

"It was slightly better to bat on so the seam and the swing was less but you know we are very happy that we were able to pull it off with constant pressure, trying to be clear with what we wanted to do and trying to make run scoring difficult. We were together, were clear and we never panicked at any stage so that's a great sign for us going forward,” revealed Bumrah. 

Up next for Jasprit Bumrah and India will be the clash against the host nation of USA which will be India’s final game in New York. They will then head to Florida to face Canada in their final group stage game.
