'Not a single over to Jaddu. Rohit Sharma lost confidence in Ravindra': Jadeja's place questioned
Ravindra Jadeja, who comes in as a handy batsman and a prolific wicket-taker, has had a subdued T20 World Cup 2024 so far. Jaddu did not get to bowl vs USA.

After getting out on a golden duck against Pakistan in the ICC T20 World Cup 2024 match, Ravindra Jadeja has drawn immense flak from fans on social media and many experts. Even if he fails in one aspect of the game, as an all-rounder Jadeja has often impacted the game with either bat or ball. However, he has lately lost the confidence of his captain, believes a former India player, giving the basis of Wednesday's India vs USA match at the Nassau County International Stadium, where Rohit Sharma did not bring Jadeja into the attack in the entire match.
Former India player Aakash Chopra says Rohit Sharma has lost confidence in Ravindra Jadeja
Ravindra Jadeja, who comes in as a handy batsman and a prolific wicket-taker, has had a subdued T20 World Cup 2024 so far. With the bat, the all-rounder squandered the opportunity to take India out of trouble during the match against Pakistan and with the ball he has been quiet so much so that he wasn't even put into attack during India's game against the USA.
Player turned commentator, Aakash Chopra, via. his official YouTube channel talked about Ravindra Jadeja not being handed the ball during the India vs USA match. According to Chopra, this is a clear indication that captain Rohit Sharma has no confidence left in Ravindra Jadeja.

"The biggest question is what is being done with Ravindra Jadeja. The captain didn't get Jaddu to bowl even a single over. Even Shivam Dube was made to bowl, although he proved expensive in that over and it seems like he is not fully ready to bowl at this level," Chopra said.
"However, not giving a single over to Jaddu and later not getting him to bat up the order, the confidence in Jaddu was seen lost suddenly. The guy needed to score a few runs and take a few wickets in any case because this tournament hasn't gone well for him, he has a career strike rate of 125 with the bat, and you are slightly surprised if the captain doesn't get you to bowl also," Chopra added.
