South Africa vs Netherlands

Following a delayed start due to rain right after the toss, the match was eventually reduced to a 43-over per side contest. With overcast conditions and a noticeable chill in the mountain air, South Africa's fast bowlers, including Kagiso Rabada, Marco Jansen, and Lungi Ngidi, found substantial assistance from the pitch. However, it was their performance during the death overs that raised several questions. The Netherlands, led by their skipper Scott Edwards, managed to score an impressive 105 runs for the loss of only one wicket in the last 10 overs of the match.

The Netherlands were in trouble when their innings started but Edwards played a captain's knock to help them post a fighting total of 245/8 in 43 overs. South Africa were still favourites until then. However, the Dutch bowlers came into the second innings with full force and took five wickets for 89 runs on the board. They then dismissed the rest of the batters to win by 38 runs. Edwards was named the player of the match for his unbeaten 78 off 69 balls. He also took three catches in the match.
