After a substantial deferral in announcing the T20 World Cup squad, Babar Azam is set to lead the 2009 winners in the United States and the West Indies. Haris Rauf has returned to the Pakistan squad, significantly boosting their bowling attack. Rauf, who suffered an injury in January, has not played for Pakistan since then.

Several new faces will feature in Pakistan's squad for this year's T20 World Cup. Abrar Ahmed, Azam Khan, Mohammad Abbas Afridi, Saim Ayub, and Usman Khan will make their maiden appearances at the tournament. Notably, Hasan Ali is absent from the squad.

Pakistan is placed in Group A, alongside India, Ireland, Canada, and co-hosts USA. They are currently playing a bilateral T20I series against England and will soon travel to the Caribbean for the World Cup.
