Team India against all odds rose up from the ashes and years of failure to finally bring the nation it's much awaited World Cup crown as they beat South Africa by 7 runs in a thrilling T20 World Cup 2024 final. 

India's World Cup victory was lauded by the world of sports and Real Madrid superstar and two time Champions League winner Vinicius Jr also got caught in the bleed blue fever as he sent a fiery message to player of the match Virat Kohli

Vinicius Jr's fiery message to Virat Kohli 

Virat Kohli had a horrid T20 World Cup until the finals as he scored only 75 runs in 7 innings. However, in the finals he played an world cup winning innings of 76 runs and was named the player of the match. 

With this victory, emotions were running high as Virat Kohli won the only ICC trophy that was missing from his cabinet and soon after announced his retirement from T20I Cricket. 

As Virat Kohli, took to Instagram to share his feelings on becoming World Champion, Real Madrid and Brazil superstar Vinicius Jr was elated and sent a fiery message to the King. 

Not only did Vini Jr react, UFC's biggest icon in Conor McGregor also took to the comment sections of Virat Kohli's post and wrote, “Legendary”.

Virat Kohli's final stand 

After carrying the weight of the nation in six T20 World Cups, Virat Kohli finally got to lift the T20 World Cup trophy. Arguable the greatest player of this generation, Virat Kohli has retired from the T20I format with 4,188 runs across 125 T20Is at an average of 48.69 (SR: 137.07). Only Rohit Sharma (4,231) has more runs in the format. 

"It's time for the next generation to take over. It was an open secret and I would have announced it even if we would have lost," said an emotional Virat Kohli in his post match press conferernce. 

Virat Kohli will continue playing Tests and ODIs for India and will want to bring back glory in those formats as well.
