Cricket has been a game of thrill and excitement as a lot of big hits and run fests take place that leave the fans electrified. But some bizarre scenes have also ensued which has left the fans perplexed. The game has certain loopholes and often requires some smart thinking. One such moment took place at the Bangladesh vs Netherlands ICC Men's T20 World Cup clash after the ball was lodged into the helmet of the batter. And to avoid losing his wicket due to a major loophole, the BAN matter made use of a smart tactic to save his wicket and avoid getting dismissed.

Vivian Kingma's bounder gets stuck in Tanzid Hasan's helmet visor, avoids losing his wicket in a smart tactic

In a bizarre scene, Bangladesh opener Tanzid Hasan was caught in an unusual situation when NED bowler Vivian Kingma's bouncer ball got lodged into the grill of the helmet. With a crisp bouncer, Kingma bowled towards Tanzid. The BAN opener attempted a pull shot, but he mishandled it, allowing the ball to top-edge and rebound straight into his helmet's grill. The ball became lodged in there, where it remained.

To conduct a concussion test, the medical crew raced onto the pitch. Luckily, the medical evaluation showed Tanzid had not broken any bones and could resume his play. But before that, he saved himself from losing a wicket by removing the helmet quickly and hitting the ball on the pitch to prevent the opposition from retrieving it and making a wicket appeal. After the match, Tanzid Hasan reflected on the instance and also spoke about his smart tactic to avoid losing his wicket.

"Unfortunately that ball was a little bit bouncy, that's why I couldn't connect and it hit the helmet. I'm okay now.

"Actually, I was thinking the ball was going up but that ball was stuck (in front of) my eyesight. That time, I was thinking they'll come and take the ball and appeal for out, so I opened my helmet and grounded so they couldn't call out," said the BAN opener after the game.

In the end, Bangladesh reigned triumphant over the Netherlands as they edged close towards a spot in the Super 8.
