Virat Kohli Overwhelmed by Enthusiastic Fan Reception Upon India's Return from T20 World Cup Triumph
Virat Kohli moved by fans' warm reception on Team India's return from Barbados after winning the ICC T20 World Cup, beating South Africa in the final.
The sheer volume of supporters that flocked to the Delhi airport to greet Team India ascertained Virat Kohli. On a chartered aircraft, the team touched down from Barbados, and when they returned with the long-awaited ICC T20 World Cup, they were welcomed home as heroes.
As the squad got off the bus in Delhi, Kohli waved to the hordes of fans cheering them on. Indian supporters gave an amazing show of support early on July 4th, flooding the airport with shouts in favour of Team India and Virat Kohli. The star batter expressed gratitude to the fans for their overwhelming show of devotion.
After settling into his seat on the team bus, Kohli was clearly taken aback by the fervour of the crowd as he peered out the window. He was observed talking with teammates about the overwhelming amount of people outside the airport who were cheering them on. When the winning squad returned from Barbados, the Indian fans were ecstatic and made sure they had a hero's welcome.

An additional video featuring Virat Kohli surfaced, with him donning the specially-made 'India Champions' shirt. Before going to meet with Prime Minister Narendra Modi, the crew stopped briefly at the ITC Maurya in Delhi, where this video was shot. In the hotel, cameras flashed nonstop as supporters and journalists swarmed around the World Champion to record the occasion.
A little fan was lucky enough to obtain a snapshot with Kohli, who graciously agreed to be in the picture. In addition, Kohli had a meeting with his family in Delhi, where he was welcomed back home at the ITC Maurya by his brother Vikas and sister Bhawna Kohli.
After their meeting with PM Narendra Modi, Team India will fly to Mumbai to take part in a victory parade on Marine Drive and at Wankhede Stadium to extend their celebration with the fans.
