Former Indian all-rounder Yuvraj Singh resumed his attack on the management for the yo-yo test and said that things would have been very different had Sourav Ganguly been the BCCI President then. Yuvraj Singh has opposed the yo-yo test and has voiced his concerns about the shortcomings of the method previously as well. Yuvraj Singh was left out of the team for failing to clear the yo-yo test following his return from battling cancer and the all-rounder has locked horns with the BCCI on many occasions regarding the same.

Yuvraj Singh renews attack on yo-yo test

Speaking to a media channel, Yuvraj Singh revealed that things would have been very different had Sourav Ganguly been the BCCI President back then. Yuvraj Singh went on to say that the yo-yo test couldn't be used as a criterion to keep out players. Hailing newly-elected BCCI President Sourav Ganguly, Yuvraj Singh said that the former Indian skipper understood the mindset of the players and that he considered Sourav Ganguly as a visionary. Yuvraj Singh hoped that Sourav Ganguly will address the issues of cricket and tend to domestic cricket as well.

Yuvraj Singh on maiden T10 stint

Speaking about playing in the Abu Dhabi T10, the 37-year-old said that it was an exciting new format to be part of. He was looking forward to joining forces with some of the world's biggest names in this league and representing Maratha Arabians. He added that it is going to be a thrilling time for the game of cricket.  Sohail Khan, who is the co-owner of Maratha Arabians, told a leading news daily that it was terrific to have a world-class player like Yuvi in their squad. They had all seen his exploits for India in various formats. Khan said that Yuvraj is a champion cricketer and one of the all-time greats in white-ball cricket. It was a huge honour to have him in their squad.

Yuvi and Dada's contribution to Indian cricket

Yuvraj Singh had made his debut at the ICC Knockout Trophy 2000 which was also Ganguly's first-ever assignment as captain. India had played some outstanding cricket as they finished runners-up. Both the southpaws were also members of the Indian squad which had won that famous tri-series final against England in 2002 at the 'Mecca of Cricket' Lord's. Yuvraj was involved in a key partnership with Mohammad Kaif when they had lost half their side and were very far away from the target. Yuvi and Dada's other memorable moments include reaching the final of the ICC Cricket World Cup 2003 and the historic tour of Pakistan in 2003/04.
