As per reports, Bhutia also said that India is a young side and the players will learn from this and that the team needs to continue work they are doing. India captain Sunil Chhetri also took to Twitter and expressed gratitude to the fans who turned up in large numbers to support the Indian team.
We couldn't deliver a performance to match the atmosphere at the Salt Lake last night, and the dressing room is very disappointed about it. We couldn’t capitalise on the chances we got,but this is a process on the pitch and in the stands. You turned up, we'll keep attempting to.

Adil Khan rescued India
Saad Uddin gave the away side a lead just before the half time but Adil Khan rescued India on a day when the latter failed to impose their authority in the match. Bangladesh came out strong in the second half, with two close opportunities. However, India seemed brighter and came very close to equalizing when Anas Edathodika's header was cleared off the goal line. India had a couple of more chances but could not convert them and was close to registering their second loss of the qualifiers when Adil Khan scored a thumping header courtesy a well-delivered corner by substitute Brandon Fernandes. Cherri came very close to sealing a remarkable comeback in the closing stages of the match but was not able to execute it well.
