'We Will Never Settle. We Will Never Give Up': Cristiano Ronaldo's Emphatic Message

Al-Nassr and Al-Raed battled to a 1-1 draw at the Al-Awwal Stadium in a fiercely fought Saudi Pro League game. Opening the score for Al-Nassr in the 34th minute with a powerful header, Cristiano Ronaldo marked his first goal of the season. Al-Raed matched, however, with Mohamed Fouzair's 49th-minute penalty. After a fierce exhibition of football, the game ended with a shared point for both teams despite Ronaldo's efforts and a disallowed goal because of offside. According to several reports, Cristiano Ronaldo is not happy with the current attack of his team, as it is very evident that the Portuguese GOAT takes all the burden on his shoulders and scores the majority of his team’s goals.

Cristiano Ronaldo has reacted to Al-Nassr’s season opener, and the Portuguese legend is unfazed by the challenges that await him and his team as the season follows.  CR7 made a post on social media expressing that he is not going to stop anytime soon and will push his team to be determined for more, Cristiano Ronaldo on X: 

“We will never settle. We will never give up. Our determination knows no limits!”

Drawing 1-1 with Al-Raed on August 22, Cristiano Ronaldo set a major record in the Saudi Pro League during Al-Nassr's first game of the season. With a strong header, the legendary Portuguese star captain scored his fifty-league goal in Saudi Arabia.

Ronaldo has excelled significantly after his transfer to Saudi Arabia in January 2023. After departing from Manchester United and European football, he has excelled at Al-Nassr, netting 60 goals and providing 16 assists in 66 matches. His latest goal against Al-Raed brings his tally to 61 goals in 67 appearances.

Al-Nassr expressed their support of Ronaldo's achievements on social media during the game, acknowledging his impressive tally of 50 goals in the league.

The Portuguese legend, 39 years old, keeps up an amazing performance despite his age. He opened the game in the 34th minute with a perfect header from a cross sent by former Liverpool star Sadio Mane.

Cristiano Ronaldo's team's advantage was fleeting however, when Al-Raed equalised in the 49th minute with a penalty. Mohammed Fouzair turned the spot-kick so that the ball landed in the net's bottom right corner.

Al-Nassr, who dominates Al-Raed, will probably be let down over losing two points. Their opponent turned out to be very defensive, giving only one concession under pressure.

It is important to note that CR7 didn’t have a proper pre-season with his team and he directly played in the Saudi Super Cup. From there, he has scored 3 goals in all the 3 games he has played for his team. He will now be seen in action against Al-Feiha on Tuesday, August 27, 2024.
