The Indian Super League has reached its climax stage. Mohun Bagan Super Giant and FC Goa have secured a direct berth to the ISL semifinals, while four other teams, Bengaluru FC, NorthEast United, Mumbai City and Jamshedpur FC, will battle for the remaining two spots.
Bengaluru FC will host Mumbai City in the ISL playoff Knockout 1 at the Sree Kanteraava Stadium on Saturday. In Knockout 2, NorthEast United FC will face Jamshedpur FC at the Jawaharlal Nehru Stadium in Shillong on Sunday.
The top six teams in the ISL table qualify for the IPL playoffs. The top two teams secure automatic berths to the semifinals while the remaining four teams fight amongst themselves for the other two spots, Semifinals will be played in the home-and-away format while the final clash will be held on the home ground of the higher ranked finalists.
