Ahead of WWE's premier wrestling event SmackDown, the wrestling corporation is currently on a tour of several European cities. For 15th March's SmackDown episode, WWE landed in Barcelona, Spain as football superstar Lamine Yamal was seen in attendance carrying a prop WWE Championship. Lamine Yamal has been one of the biggest growing names in football as he has been detrimental for FC Barcelona in their success this season. He was recently a key player in FC Barcelona's round of 16 win over Benfica in the UEFA Champions League.
Lamine Yamal Attends WWE SmackDown In Barcelona
Barcelona's football superstar Lamine Yamal took a day off as he was in attendance for WWE's weekly show SmackDown. The photos of the football star attending the WWE show have gone viral on social media. Lamine Yamal was seen attending SmackDown with his friends as they watched the WWE superstar's in their glory.
Following the conclusion of the event, Lamine Yamal shared some backstage pictures as he met up with WWE COO and former superstar Triple H, Randy Orton and WWE Champion Cody Rhodes. Lamine Yamal was also seen with former WWE Champion Drew McIntyre during the show.
Lamine Yamal Key In Barcelona's European Success
Lamine Yamal has become a key player in Barcelona's success in the Spanish league and the UEFA Champions League. Lamine Yamal has scored or assisted for FC Barcelona in all of their important games. So far he has five goals and eleven assists in the current La Liga season.
As for the UEFA Champions League, Lamine Yamal has 3 goals and 3 assists in nine matches. FC Barcelona currently sit at the top of the La Liga table and have made it into the quarterfinals of the UEFA Champions League. Lamine Yamal and FC Barcelona will be in action once again on 17th March when they take on Atletico Madrid in their La Liga match.
