Michael Schumacher Seen In Public For The First Time In 11 Years After Skiing Accident- Reports

According to reports, Michael Schumacher made his first public appearance in 11 years when he attended his daughter Gina's wedding.

Michael Schumacher and Formula One are synonymous of each other as the former Ferrari driver is one of the greatest ever to step foot into the sport. Back in 2013, Michael Schumacher had met with a life threatening injury while skiing in the French Alps which had left him in a coma. Since then his condition and everything surrounding him has been kept extremely private as the F1 legend has not been seen in 11 years. 

Michael Schumacher resides in Switzerland with his family and leads a super private life and all the details about him have been kept confidential. According to reports, the F1 legend recently made his first public appearance during his daughter Gina's wedding. 

Reports Suggest Michael Schumacher Made Public Appearance 

According to several reports coming in it was reported that Michael Schumacher made a public appearance when his daughter Gina got married to her boyfriend Iain Bethke in Spain at the family villa. According to German publication BILD, it is very possible that Schumacher was present at the ceremony though not in the garden area where all the other guests apart from close friends were.

Other signs that point towards Schumacher being present at the ceremony was the fact that all the guests were asked to submit their phones so that photos of the event were not leaked. 

Schumacher's Health Updates 

A while ago 4-time World Champion Sebastian Vettel who is close to the Schumacher family revealed that Michael Schumacher was not doing too well. According to Schumacher's lawyer, the family have decided to keep his health report private due to privacy concerns.

"It was always about protecting private things. We considered whether a final report about Michael's health could be the right way to do this.

"But that wouldn't have been the end of it and there would have had to be constantly updated 'water level reports' and it would not have been up to the family when the media interest in the story stopped.

"They [the media] could pick up on such a report again and again and as 'and what does it look like now?' one, two, three months or years after the message," he added. "If we then wanted to take action against this reporting, we would have to deal with the argument of voluntary self-disclosure," said Schumacher's lawyer Felix Damm.
