Verstappen Terms Red Bull Car A Monster Amidst Ongoing Performance Issues
Max Verstappen took out his frustrations as he termed his RB20 car a monster amidst string of bad performances.
Max Verstappen and Red Bull's season has taken a complete U-turn as the team and driver have gone from dominating races and the championship to struggling to win a podium. This downfall of Red Bull has got them on the backfoot as they try and keep McLaren from overtaking them in the Constructors and Drivers Championship. These series of events have led Max Verstappen to dish out his frustrations as he terms his car an ‘undriveable monster’.
From The Most Dominant Car To A Monster
Max Verstappen dished out his frustrations regarding his car as he struggles to even get on the podium from the past couple of races.
“The car is undriveable, it’s a massive balance problem that we have, and that is not only over one lap but also the race.
“Last year we had a great car, which was the most dominant car ever, and we basically turned it into a monster.
“It doesn’t matter where we are [racing] at the moment, we are bad everywhere, so we need a lot of changes.
"At the moment both championships are not realistic.”
Verstappen has not won a race for the past six races as Red Bull struggle to get their car back to winning ways.
Red Bull's McLaren Worries
Amidst Red Bull's downfall, McLaren have swooped in to pick up the pieces as McLaren have now become the car to beat. As McLaren become dominant in the sport amidst Red Bull's fall from grace, the gap to Red Bull's championship hopes is being closed down.
Red Bull currently only lead in the Constructors Championship by 8-points. As for the Drivers Championship, Verstappen holds a lead over Norris by 62-points. If Red Bull are not able to improve upon their problems, they can end up losing both these championships.
