‘They Had Retired Me’: Jinder Mahal Reveals Shocking Details on His Last Days as a WWE Wrestler
Raj Dhesi, a.k.a. Jinder Mahal opened up about his time before leaving WWE. Dhesi claimed that the WWE had retired him by not putting him in any matches.
Raj Dhesi, fka Jinder Mahal was once a massive sensation and projected as a big bad heel. Not only was he a main eventer, but he won championship titles as well. Under Vince McMahon, the modern-day Maharaja was a massive sensation, and he garnered a lot of fan-following from India for his in-ring qualities and mic skills. But under the Triple H era, Raj Dhesi could not work out and find a proper spot in the creative as a wrestler. The former WWE Champion recently opened up on the final stages of his WWE run, where the company told him that he was not an active wrestler.

Raj Dhesi Opens Up on His Final Days in the WWE as Jinder Mahal
Raj Dhesi, fka Jinder Mahal, recently appeared at Chris Jericho's Talk is Jericho Podcast where he opened up on his time before leaving the WWE. He was engaged with the tag team Indus Sher. Dhesi said that the WWE had retired him by not putting him in any action. They also informed him that he wasn't an active wrestler anymore.
“So the last two years, I wasn’t doing much. I was managing Indus Sher. In a way, they had retired me. They told me I wasn’t an active wrestler anymore, which was kind of weird. I think maybe they just wanted the focus to be on Indus Sher.
"I don’t know, something fresh, something new, which I get because I had become very stale. Creative-wise, I wasn’t doing much, which is, okay, I get it. I get it. Things change. That’s how my career has always been,” Raj Dhesi fka Jinder Mahal revealed.

WWE fumbled the bag with Jinder Mahal as he was built like a main eventer under the Vince McMahon era. He is a former WWE Champion who defeated Randy Orton to win the title at Backlash. He was the 50th WWE Champion and the first-ever champion of Indian descent. But under the Triple H regime, he never found a main-event spot and was eventually let go from the company. Dhesi now features in the independent circuit like the GCW, AAA, and more. He is a superstar already and also is one-half of the current AAA World Tag Team alongside AEW's Satnam Singh in his first reign.
