WWE: AEW star Luchasaurus recalls rival roster telling him to find another profession

Luchasaurus was recently being interviewed by an American wrestling website where he talked about his WWE career and how others were discouraging him.  In 2012, he signed a contract with WWE and began his NXT career under the name of Judas Devlin. According to Luchasaurus, when he was with the wrestling company, he was told by many officials that his gimmick is never going to be anything big nor successful.

Luchasaurus talks about WWE

Talking about the WWE, Luchasaurus revealed that when he was in NXT, people used to sit next to him and say that wrestling is not for him. They used to say that 'You're not cut out for it, find another job.' He said that if he wanted to, he could have taken that to heart and walked away because their style wasn't for him. He eventually decided to leave WWE because it was not for him and he wanted to do something completely different. Many say that WWE didn’t like Luchasaurus and his gimmick of him mimicking dinosaurs in the ring.

Luchasaurus signs a deal with WWE’s rival AEW

Luchasaurus made his AEW debut on May 25, 2019 at the Double or Nothing PPV. He fought in the Casino Battle Royale for an AEW World Championship opportunity and lasted until the final three, before being eliminated by Adam Page. Three days after his debut, it was revealed that Austin Matelson has signed a deal with the company. He then went on to form a tag team with Jungle Boy and the duo recently fought The Dark Order and Angelico & Jack Evans in a Triple Threat tag team match at the Fight for the Fallen PPV.
