Microsoft Copilot 365 comes to Word, Teams, OneDrive, PowerPoint for enterprise users
Microsoft has announced that it is rolling out support for Microsoft Copilot 365 in the Microsoft 365 apps to all business and enterprise users.
Microsoft, at its Wave 2, announced that it is bringing Copilot support to the Microsoft 365 apps. The company had first introduced Microsoft Copilot 365 in March 2023. Since then, it has been slowly rolling out Copilot-powered features within its suite of apps. Now it has completely integrated Microsoft Copilot 365 in the Microsoft 365 apps making it available to all enterprise and business users. With this, business and enterprise users will be able to use Copilot in Microsoft 365 apps, which include Excel, Word, PowerPoint, and Teams among others.
Microsoft 365 Copilot: Top 7 features
-- Microsoft is bringing Microsoft 365 Copilot to Excel for enterprises. With this update, Excel users will be able to use the company generative AI-based assistant to reason over structured data and complete tasks such as adding filters or splitting text.
-- In addition to this, Excel users will be able to use Copilot to get recommendations for visual formats such as bar charts, line graphs, or PivotTables. Copilot will also formulate sets of fields, layouts, and filters for creating specific bar charts and line graphs.
-- Microsoft also announced that Copilot in Excel is getting support for Python. With this update, users will be able to insert a Python code in their Excel spreadsheet. They will also be able to ask Copilot to conduct analysis such as forecasting, risk analysis, machine learning, and visualizing complex data using natural language.
-- Microsoft 365 Copilot will also be available in PowerPoint. Post an upcoming update, Copilot will work with the Narrative Builder feature within PowerPoint to help users to build first drafts of presentations. With an update coming to the app later this year will enable users to add files to the draft to improve their presentations.
-- Microsoft 365 Copilot in Teams will give users a transcript of the meeting and a summary of what was said in the chat of the same meeting. Users will also be able to ask specific queries to Copilot regarding what was discussed in the meeting and the chat.
-- Microsoft also confirmed that the Microsoft 365 Copilot will be available in Word to the enterprise and business users. With an update coming to the app in September, users will be able ask Copilot to reference web data and work data such as Word files, PowerPoint, PDFs, and encrypted documents, emails and meetings in their documents.
-- Lastly, Microsoft 365 Copilot in OneDrive will enable users to find files quickly and get a summary of the information in specific files. It will be available to all users by the end of September 2024.
