Apple launched nine new devices tonight. In addition to the iPhone 16 series, Apple also launched the AirPods 4 and AirPods Pro 2.
Apple Event 2024 Live Updates: Apple hosted the 'It's Glowtime' event at Apple Park tonight. At the event, the company launched the iPhone 16 series, which includes the iPhone 16, the iPhone 16 Plus, the iPhone 16 Pro and the iPhone 16 Pro Max. In addition to launching the iPhone 16 series, the company also launched the Apple Watch Series 10, the Apple AirPods 4 and Apple AirPods Pro 2. Additionally, the company updated the Apple Watch Ultra and the Apple AirPods Max at its event tonight.

Apple said that an update to Voice Memos will let users overlay one voice note over the other without any noise. This will let users record songs and overlay it with a different audio file with music.

Both these chips get support for Apple 's Camera Control features. These iPhone models offer Cinematic Slow Motion feature with support for 4K videos at 120fps.

Apple says that iPhone 16 and iPhone 16 Plus will get Apple Intelligence support owing to the A18 chipset. Apple Intelligence will let users create new emojis and create images from scratch using Playground.
Users will be able to create a movie from photos in the Photos app. Apple Intelligence will also help users write and summarise long texts. It will also summarise text in emails and notifications.
Apple is also bringing Apple Intelligence to Siri. It will bringing richer language understanding and on-screen awareness to Siri. Users will be able to type their request to Siri. Siri will also be able to manage actions within apps.
Apple Intelligence will be available in beta starting next month. It will not be available in India next month.

Apple has showcased the iPhone 16. It gets a purple, teal and pink colour variants. The display of the iPhone 16 is protected by Ceramic Shield. iPhone 16 gets a 6.1-inch display and iPhone 16 Plus gets a 6.7-inch display. Apple says the Apple Watch Series 10 can monitor users for Sleep Apnea. The Sleep Apnear detection feature is powered by AI and it uses the built-in accelerometer to track the disease.

Apple back at WWDC 2024 in June this year forayed in the world of generative AI by announcing Apple Intelligence. Apple Intelligence brings a host gen-AI powered features including writing tools and image creation tools to supported Apple devices. You can check all the supported devices here.
At the event, Apple could announce the timeline as to when the company will bring Apple Intelligence or AI to supported iPhone models, iPad models and Mac. Though reports earlier suggested the Apple Intelligence could come to supported iPhone models with iOS 18, newer reports suggest that iPhone users will have to wait until iOS 18.2 update to access the same.
