The Realme 5, released during August 2019, would be available in a special sale on 30 September. This smartphone had been increasingly difficult to find during the normal sales. Thousands of units of the device reportedly got sold out during these sales. Hence, the 30 September seems like another opportunity at purchasing the Realme 5.

Buy the Realme 5

During the 30 September sale, the Realme 5 would be priced at Rs 9999 ( a sub-Rs 10000 pricing). Loyalists could get to choose between the Crystal Blue and Crystal Purple outer colour variants of the smartphone. There are also the 3GB, 4GB RAM, editions up for grabs during the 30 September sale. This would be an online sale. To buy the Realme 5, loyalists could check out the official Realme portal. As of now, it is not known whether the Realme 5 would be available in offline retail stores which have been holding multiple popular editions of Realme smartphones.

At this very point in time, buyers could sign-up on the official Realme portal to get notified about purchasing the smartphone on 31 September. A working phone number could be used for this purpose. On its part, the Realme 5 is a mid-range smartphone. It offers the below key technical specifications.

  • 6.5-inch display

  • ColorOS 6 inspired by Android 9.0 (Pie)

  • Octa-core Snapdragon 665 AIE SoC

  • 12MP AI quad-camera at the rear

  • 13MP front snapper

  • 3GB, 4GB RAM

  • 32GB, 64GB, 128GB internal storage variants – based on RAM

  • MicroSD card slot for expansion of internal storage up to 256GB

  • LTE, HSPA, Bluetooth 5.0, Wi-Fi, microUSB 2.0 connectivity

  • 5000mAh battery.

Realme 5 is impressive

USP of the Realme 5 is its quad rear camera setup and the 5000mAh battery – both of which are impressive (theoretically) as far as latest smartphones are concerned. The octa-core processor and the 3GB RAM should also offer an efficient gaming experience of the various high-end games like PlayerUnknown’s Battlegrounds (PUBG). The 6.5-inch display should also offer an effective movie-watching experience. The Realme 5 competes with the Redmi 8A that is slated to come to India on 25 September.
