Samsung Galaxy Z Fold 6 Ultra may still be on its way, launch likely in October

Samsung was first rumoured to launch a high-end Galaxy Z Fold 6 Ultra in February, but when the company announced the Galaxy Z Fold 6, it did not say anything about the Ultra model. Months after a report claimed the Ultra might no longer be on the cards, the Galaxy Z Fold 6 Ultra has reportedly cropped up on an online retailer where its listing says it is due for launch in October.

The retailer from South Korea has removed the Galaxy Z Fold 6 listing, but a user on X was quick enough to take a screengrab. The user who goes by @negativeonehero shared the screenshot of a poster that hints at the launch of a Samsung Galaxy Z Fold 6 Special Edition on October 25 and its pre-order schedule starting on October 18. The user said the model number of Samsung’s Special Edition foldable is the same as the one that was a part of rumours about the Galaxy Z Fold 6 Ultra.

That means the Galaxy Z Fold 6 Ultra may still be happening. That is because the poster was live on a Korean website and erstwhile rumours pointed to the launch exclusive to the Korean market. However, there is a flip side. The poster that the X user shared has a link, but it points to the listing of the Galaxy Z Fold 6 (Crafted Black) version strangely on the Samsung Korea website. The Crafted Black version is already available in multiple markets, so the link seems like a placeholder. The user has also provided two links, one of which is no longer active and the other one redirects to an event microsite on Korea’s T Store. The T Store URL has a “f958” model number, which has previously been linked to the Galaxy Z Fold 6 Ultra.

There is no way to check the authenticity of the poster, and even the links do not provide any substantial information about the Galaxy Z Fold 6 Ultra. If what the poster claims holds any water, Samsung is likely to start teasing the launch in a few days as October has begun.
