Fortnite which bagged multiple awards at the recent Game Awards has now enabled its developers Epic Games to earn profits ranging up to $3 billion in 2018. The game’s iOS version is also said to have raked in $385 million during the April to November 2018 timeline.

As per a TechCrunch report, that quotes reliable sources, Fortnite has been a success and Epic Games is also said to be now valuing in at $15 billion. Here, it is worth noting that Fortnite lets gamers play for free but charges for in-game purchases. The battle-royale game has also practically posed intense competition to PUBG (and PUBG Mobile) which also falls into the action-adventure category and is free to play on both Android and iOS.

Now, with Fortnite said to have resulted in relative profits for Epic Games, the game could even further its user base as it has seemingly been on a roll ever since it was released during July 2017. The action-adventure game is available to play, in addition to Android and iOS platforms, on PCs, Xbox One, Nintendo Switch, and PS4 consoles across the world. With the game also topping Google Searches till the period ending November 2018, it is worth checking out as to whether there would be this continued upwards surge (of Fortnite) in 2019. As of now, Epic Games is yet to officially issue updates regarding the rumoured $3 billion profit raked in via Fortnite’s success.

At this juncture, it is worth noting that both Microsoft and Sony are hugely rumoured to showcase their respective next-gen version of the Xbox One and PlayStation consoles. With next-gen features, there is a probability of Fortnite landing customized on the new consoles when these are officially released.
