A new, upgraded version of the NaMo App was announced on Tuesday, ahead of Prime Minister Narendra Modi's 69th birthday, which is tomorrow - September 17th. Upgraded NaMo app comprises some more new features intending to increase interaction on the app.

"NaMo App gets a new update! It is faster and sleeker, enables easier access to exclusive content and has new features for an immersive experience. Let us deepen our interaction. Get the new version of the app," PM Modi announced on Twitter.

Upgraded NaMo app

It also happens to be the first update to the NaMo app after the recent Lok Sabha elections. Ahead of general elections in May, the NaMo app received a brand-new look and design. The NaMo app will showcase a multimedia version of PM Modi's political journey, mirroring exhibitions being organised by the Bharatiya Janata Party (BJP) across the country.

Among the app's new features are one-touch navigation, a new content section called 'NaMo Exclusive' and content recommendations based on the user's interest. Users can now slide to access more content across various segments.

Since its launch, the NaMo app has amassed more than 1.5 crore app downloads across various platforms. The app also ranks among the most popular apps across platforms for any political leader across the world, according to an official statement.

The NaMo app has infographics to illustrate the work done by the NDA government to transform India and Modi's 'Mann Ki Baat' episodes. It also includes sections like the NaMo merchandise and micro-donations.
The app also allows users to receive messages directly from Prime Minister Modi, said the statement.
