Indian food delivery app Swiggy topped the list of most downloaded apps worldwide in health and fitness category for August 2019, as per the report from Sensor Tower. Swiggy reached about 40 lakh installs during the stipulated period, recording a 66 per cent increase from the same period last year. The country with the highest number of installs (98 per cent) was India.  Following Swiggy, Water Tracker was the second most installed Health and Fitness category app worldwide last month. Water Tracker recorded more than 3.4 million installs. The countries with the highest number of Water Tracker installs were Brazil (29 per cent), followed by Argentina (10 per cent). Mi Fit, Flo, and Drink Water Reminder was among the top five most installed Health and Fitness category apps worldwide for August 2019.

Swiggy on Wednesday announced the launch of Swiggy Go, the company's pick-up and drop service. Swiggy Go will first launch in Bengaluru. The company said that it has plans to expand the Swiggy Go service to more than 300 cities by next year. For now, Swiggy Go is available only in Bengaluru. Interestingly, Swiggy Go will not be limited to food delivery. Swiggy doesn't want to limit itself to food delivery anymore. Swiggy Go would compete directly with Bengaluru-based delivery startup Dunzo. Swiggy Go can be used to pick up and drop off laundry, get forgotten keys, send lunch boxes from home to office or even deliver documents or parcels to clients, Swiggy said in its statement. Swiggy also announced the expansion of its Swiggy Stores to Bengaluru and Hyderabad.
