BSNL’s Rs 1188 plan would now be live for an extended period of 90 days. This means that you could still avail this prepaid scheme. This would be in force till 21 January 2020, beginning from 24 October 2019.

BSNL Rs 1188 prepaid plan

Now, the Rs 1188 plan is currently applicable to BSNL’s Chennai and Tamil Nadu telecom regions. As far as overall benefits are concerned, it comes with offerings such as free voice calls for 250 minutes per day. There would be 5GB free data and 1200 text messages. Validity period of freebies under this plan is 345 days.

Also, this plan being a long validity scheme is beneficial for those preferring to recharge once and rest assured, rather than having to resort to monthly recharges just to keep their prepaid numbers active, and not falling into disconnection. The plan also takes care of national roaming calls. You could check out the plan now, since it has been extended for another couple of months, at the nearest BSNL telephone exchanges.

In related news, BSNL has been in the news very much of late. The latest instances of this trend are when the telco started trending on Twitter for the hashtags “Switch to BSNL” and “BSNL 4G” respectively. As of now, BSNL’s 4G services are expected to come to the fore very soon. Hence, people across India have been expressing intense interest. Here, remember that operators like Jio have been charging customers IUC of 6 paise per minute for calls made to other networks. The telco also launched both IUC-exclusive recharges as well as plans including free IUC minutes – to prepaid customers. The telco is also handing out 4G SIM-cards to both port-in customers as well as new prepaid subscribers, now.
