CES 2019: Sony Xperia XA3, XA3 Ultra, Xperia L3 expected to be unveiled next week

Consumer Electronics Show (CES) 2019 is around the corner, and Sony is expected to unveil a whole new range of smartphones ahead of the tradeshow. Sony is hosting a press conference on January 7.

Consumer Electronics Show (CES) 2019 is around the corner, and Sony is expected to unveil a whole new range of smartphones ahead of the tradeshow. Sony is hosting a press conference on January 7. It could be interesting given a fact that nowadays, a lot of smartphone brands tend to skip the CES in favour of MWC. Sony, meanwhile, has decided to stick to the CES.

Here’s what we can expect from Sony at the CES 2019:

Although Sony has not provided us with any specifics so far, Sony is said to unveil Sony Xperia XA3 and Sony Xperia XA3 Ultra smartphones during its pre-CES press conference. Reports suggest that Sony is likely to focus more on 5G technology this time around, which could help the company revitalise its smartphones business by 2020.

Talking about smartphones, Sony is expected to showcase their latest and upcoming mid-range and low-end smartphones. These devices initially made the headlines back in October last year and they are likely to be called Xperia XA3, XA3 Ultra and Xperia L3. All these devices are more likely to fall under different price brackets.

According to reports, Sony Xperia XA3, XA3 Ultra and Xperia L3 are all tipped to sport 18:9 aspect ratio display, dual rear cameras, Android 9 Pie operating system, glass and aluminium design. Regarding connectivity, they will support at least 4G LTE. Sony Xperia XA3, XA3 Ultra and L3 smartphones are said to hit the market sometime in February 2019.
