The premium Motorola One Power is now available for a discount of Rs 4000 online. It is worth noting that the handset runs Android 8.1 Oreo out of the box and the device is also eligible for Android 9.0 (Pie) OS update. The new firmware is set to seed to the Moto One Power very quickly.

As far as the price cut is concerned, e-tailer Flipkart is currently selling a 64GB Black variant of the Motorola One Power for Rs 14999. At this juncture, it is worth noting that the original price tag of the smartphone was Rs 18999. The latest price cut is seemingly a part of the e-tailer’s Republic Day Sale which every year sees a host of smartphones from major brands being discounted.

As far as the latest slash on prices of the Motorola One Power is concerned, this seems to be a limited time offer - possibly till Republic Day approaches. Flipkart is also claiming to offer exchange bonus of up to Rs 14900 for buyers. The price cut is also reflecting currently on the official Motorola online portal (in addition to Flipkart). For the uninitiated, Motorola One Power offers key technical specifications such as :

  • 6.2-inch display with resolutions of 1080 x 2246 pixels
  • Android 8.1 (Oreo) out of the box; smartphone eligible to receive Android Pie as an OS update
  • Octa-core Qualcomm Snapdragon 636 SoC
  • Adreno 509
  • 16 MP and 5 MP dual rear cameras; with dual-LED flash
  • 12 MP selfie shooter
  • 3 GB, 4 GB RAM variants
  • 32 GB, 64 GB internal storage editions based on RAM
  • LTE, HSPA, Bluetooth 5.0, Wi-Fi, and microUSB 2.0 connectivity options
  • 5000 mAh fixed Lithium-Ion battery.

Here, it is worth noting that the USP of the Motorola one Power is its 5000 mAh battery that should offer comparatively longer backup times for applications. Also, the sub Rs 15K pricing of the handset is also a major point considering the fact that value-for-money devices have always been embraced by Indian consumers irrespective of brands. This fact is evident when we consider the domination of multiple Chinese smartphone brands across multiple smartphone shipment segments in the country.
