The online playoffs for PUBG Mobile India series have already begun with 2,000 teams competing with each other to qualify for the grand finale. Online playoffs will run between February 10 and February 24. For those unaware of the fact that online playoffs round is further divided into 3 rounds: Best of 1, 2 and 3. We discuss what the online playoffs round is going to be all about.
In a nutshell, online playoffs will be played across three rounds and each one of them will decide a number of squads qualifying for the next round.
As far as round 1 is concerned, the Top 2000 squads are pushed into a hundred groups. Each group of these consist of 20 squads. All competing groups will play in Best of 1 series and points will be distributed depending on the knockout match. The top four squads with most points from each of these groups will qualify for the next round.
Top 400 squads from the first round will be spread across 20 groups again and much like before, each of these groups will consist of 20 squads. These 400 squads once again play in a Best of 1 format wherein points are distributed based on the knockout match. As a result, the top four squads from each of these group will move on to the next round.
Round 3 will consist of top 80 squads from the previous round wherein they are further pushed into four groups. Each of these groups will consist of 20 squads, of course. Out of these 80 squads, top five squads from each group will qualify for GRAND FINALE! In the third round, the top 5 squads will be finalised based on Best of 3 points knockout format.
