Realme is seemingly entering China with a bang. Its debut smartphone, the Realme X, is shaping to be quite an exciting proposition. Realme has already confirmed that the Realme X will be its first pop-up selfie camera toting smartphone, and now it has added two more specs to the list to build hype. The Realme X will feature a Xiaomi Redmi Note 7 Pro-like 48MP main camera with Sony IMX586 sensor (the same sensor which is also set to feature in the upcoming OnePlus 7 Pro), and an in-display fingerprint scanner.

Not that any of that is surprising – full specs of the Realme X have already leaked online. Regardless, an official confirmation always helps – Realme will officially launch the Realme X in China on May 15.

Basis of a recent TENAA listing, the Realme X will reportedly come with a 6.5-inch 1080p+ AMOLED display. Realme has already confirmed the pop-up camera credentials of the Realme X, so it’s safe to say that the phone will come with a full-screen display without any unsightly notch or cutout to obstruct your view. Under the hood, the Realme X is said to come with a 2.2GHz octa-core processor (unspecified) paired with 4GB RAM and 64GB storage (non-expandable). Software inside is said to be Android 9 Pie (based ColorOS). The Realme X is further said to come with a 3,680mAh battery.

On to the optics, the Realme X will reportedly come with dual rear cameras – 48MP+5MP. On the front, the Realme X is said to come with a 16MP camera.

The Realme X has also been spotted on the Bureau of Indian Standards (BIS) website suggesting that Realme may launch the phone in India soon enough.

The Realme X will also be accompanied by the Realme X Youth Edition or Realme X Lite – a phone that is said to be a rehashed Realme 3 Pro designed for the Chinese market. Rumored specs of the Realme X Lite fall in line with the Realme 3 Pro. The Realme 3 Pro has a dual rear camera system on the rear consisting of a 16MP (Sony IMX 519) sensor with f/1.7 aperture and another 5MP sensor for depth sensing aka portrait photography. On the front, the Realme 3 Pro comes with a 25MP camera with f/2.0 aperture.
