Realme 5s, Realme’s answer to Xiaomi’s Redmi Note 8, is coming to India on November 20 alongside its more high-end flagship sibling, Realme X2 Pro. As with all phones Realme, the Oppo spin-off brand isn’t waiting until D-day to reveal more information about the Realme 5s as well.

Realme 5s will be Realme's answer to Xiaomi Redmi Note 8

Just a day after confirming that the Realme 5s will come with a 48MP quad rear camera setup, Realme has confirmed that the phone in question will come with a waterdrop-style notch and a massive 5,000mAh battery. There’s a slight chance the Realme 5s could be a tweaked Realme 5 with a 48MP main camera. That would be, in case you didn’t notice, to better take on the Xiaomi Redmi Note 8 that also has a 48MP quad rear camera setup.

The Realme 5s, Realme has already confirmed, will have a design like the Realme 5 with a diamond-cut pattern on the back. The phone will come in red and blue at least. It will have a rear-mounted fingerprint scanner and as mentioned earlier, four cameras. The front has now been confirmed to have a waterdrop-style notch – just like the Realme 5.

For some perspective, the Realme 5 has a 6.5-inch HD+ display with a waterdrop-style notch, a Qualcomm Snapdragon 665 processor paired with up to 4GB of RAM and 128GB of storage, quad rear cameras consisting of a 12MP main camera, an 8MP ultrawide-angle camera, a 2MP macro camera, and a 2MP depth sensor, 13MP selfie camera, and a 5,000mAh battery.

Realme is gearing for a big launch event in India on November 20 where it will launch its most ambitious smartphone to date, aka the Realme X2 Pro. But the Realme X2 Pro won’t be alone. There are rumours that Realme may also launch its first fitness band at the same keynote, in addition to the Realme 5s – that has now been confirmed by Realme. Both the Realme X22 Pro and Realme 5s will be sold via Flipkart and Realme’s own online store. Both these phones should be available through offline channels as well.
