Samsung Galaxy Note8 has now received a considerable price cut online. The premium smartphone was launched in 2017.

Now, e-tailer Amazon has currently put-up the Galaxy Note8 for Rs 39990. This is seemingly a part of Amazon’s Great Indian Sale that is now underway and goes on till January 23 2019. Here, it is worth noting that Amazon has been claiming that the earlier price of the Galaxy Note8 was Rs 74690, and about reflecting an apparent “Rs 34700 discount” leading to the current near Rs 40K pricing on the handset. The Rs 74690 price tag put up by Amazon seems like it is the launch price of the phone; post-launch, there have been multiple reductions; by various purchase channels.

As far as the Great Amazon Sale is concerned, the e-tailer is also claiming that the new price on the Samsung Galaxy Note8 would end in less than 11 hours. This smartphone edition is the Midnight Blue colour variant offering 6GB RAM and 64GB internal storage. For buyers ordering within the next 9 hours, the e-tailer is also claiming to deliver the smartphone within one-day (of ordering).

Here, the Galaxy Note8 was launched in August 2017 and most other channels (both online and offline) are selling the handset at prices below Rs 50000 (even the official Samsung eStore has put a Rs 42990 price tag on a 64GB variant of the smartphone; could be a “festive offer” as well).

Finally, without the Amazon Great Indian Sale offer, the price of the Galaxy Note8 on Amazon is Rs 59499; representing a Rs 6500 price cut on its “original Rs 65999 pricing.

For the uninitiated, Samsung Galaxy Note8 comes with technical specifications such as:

  • 6.3-inch display having resolutions of 1440 x 2960 pixels
  • Android 7.1 (Nougat); that can be upgraded to Android 8.0 (Oreo) update
  • Octa-core Qualcomm Snapdragon 8895 SoC
  • 12MP + 12MP dual rear cameras
  • 8MP secondary snapper
  • 6 GB RAM
