Vivo has seemingly unveiled its upcoming pop-up selfie cam-toting Vivo V15 Pro ahead of its scheduled February 20 launch event. The company has taken to social media to show off the V15 Pro in a new promo teaser video starring its brand ambassador, Bollywood actor Aamir Khan. The video, that is focused entirely on the V15 Pro’s 32MP pop-out selfie camera, also confirms a few other features of Vivo’s soon-to-launch phone.

The V15 pro will have a gradient design but it won’t be as flashy (and starry-eyed) as the V11 Pro that it will replace. The design here seems to be a little more subtle, although Vivo is still retaining its fancy light-bending blue paintjob. On the front, the phone is seen having bare minium bezels. Vivo, in fact, seems to have also greatly reduced the chin something that has been difficult for the Android world to replicate from the iPhone X.

There is no physical fingerprint scanner on the front or on the sides, because, much like the V11 Pro, the V15 Pro will also come with an in-display fingerprint scanner. Additionally, the Vivo V15 Pro will also come with a triple rear camera setup (with dual LED flash). One of these cameras will supposedly use a 48MP sensor.

Speaking of which, Vivo does not confirm the kind of sensor that it is using in the V15 Pro’s selfie cam. Chances are the V15 Pro will use Samsung’s recently announced 32MP GD1 image sensor, which much like its 48MP GM1 sensor (found inside the Xiaomi Redmi Note 7) will use interpolation to achive that golden 32MP resolution in photos. When actually, it will still be natively shooting at 8MP.

Vivo will launch the Vivo V15 Pro in India on February 20. A source familiar with Vivo’s plans has confirmed to Republic World that the company will launch the V15 Pro in India at a price in between Rs 30,000-Rs 35,000. A toned-down variant called the V15 will be launched later. The Vivo V15, that may or may not share all the USP features of the Vivo V15 Pro, will obviously cost less.
