Vivo Y91 with waterdrop notch, dual rear cameras and 4,030mAh battery launched in India for Rs 10,990

Vivo launched the Vivo Y91 phone in India on Tuesday at a price of Rs 10,990. The Vivo Y91 will be available for buying via both online (Amazon India, Paytm and Vivo’s e-store) and offline sales channels and will be made locally at the company’s Greater Noida facility. 

The Vivo Y91 packs attractive features like a waterdrop-style notch, dual rear cameras, and a massive 4,030mAh battery, at an aggressive price of Rs 10,990. 

“We at Vivo, are committed to fulfil consumer demands across price segments and have introduced the latest addition to our Y-Series portfolio – Vivo Y91 in the sub Rs 12,000 category. The device has been ergonomically designed to best suit the needs of young consumers, equipped with the latest technology and several innovative features at a competitive price,” Jerome Chen, senior vice president, Vivo India said while announcing the Vivo Y91 for the Indian market. 

In terms of core hardware, the Vivo Y91 comes with a 6.22-inch HD+ screen and a MediaTek Helio P22 processor with 2GB RAM and 32GB storage which is also expandable. The dual-SIM Vivo Y91 runs Android 8.1 Oreo-based FunTouch OS 4.5 and supports 4G LTE connectivity alongside Bluetooth 5.0. The phone packs a sizeable 4,030mAh battery and charges via standard micro-USB.  

In terms of optics, the Vivo V91 comes with a dual rear camera system consisting of one 13MP sensor and another 2MP sensor for depth sensing aka portrait photography. On the front, the Vivo Y91 comes with an 8MP camera.  

The Vivo Y91 will be available for buying in as many as two colour options, Starry Black and Ocean Blue.
