Vodafone has seemingly made live a Rs 129 prepaid recharge scheme to subscribers in certain telecom circles, that comes with unlimited benefits. Now, this is not in competition with Reliance Jio as every new unlimited calls plan cannot be considered as rivaling to a particular telco.

Back to Vodafone’s Rs 129 recharge plan, the scheme offers free + unlimited voice calling with a validity of 28 days. There are other benefits as well such as 1.5 GB 4G/3G data along with free domestic roaming. This Rs 129 plan is reflecting within the official Vodafone portals, for certain circles. Hence, Vodafone subscribers could check out the portal as well as MyVodafone application from their respective regions. Subscribers could look for the plan under the Bonus Type plans.

Also, the above plan could be applicable to select numbers as well. Do check out the official recharge sources now.

The Rs 129 prepaid scheme seems custom made for subscribers preferring to indulge in general everyday usage of their smartphones (with that extra bit of data) for purposes such as multiplayer gaming.

At this juncture, it is also worth noting that Vodafone has seemingly been laying emphasis on semi-long and long validity plans. Recently, the telco has released prepaid packages such as a Rs 1699 recharge scheme (unlimited - valid for 365 days), Rs 399 plan (unlimited- valid for 84 days), Rs 479 plan (unlimited - valid for 84 days), Rs 529 (unlimited - valid for 90 days), and more.

Finally, it is worth noting that unlimited plans especially those with longer validities are a seemingly new trend in the Indian telecom sector. It could represent a scenario wherein the prepaid subscribers of all telcos are equally empowered to use unlimited tariff plans as that of their postpaid counterparts. Do share your thoughts/insights with respect to these unlimited prepaid packs by telcos, including that of Jio.
