Vodafone’s Rs 199 unlimited prepaid plan is now seemingly live across more circles in India. USP of this plan is its 1.5GB daily data offering. Then, there are free unlimited calls even to non-Vodafone numbers.

Vodafone Rs 199 plan

Now, when we checked for the Karnataka Vodafone telecom circle, the Rs 199 plan was live. Then, the plan was live for multiple other circles as well. As far as benefits of this plan is concerned, it offers 1.5GB data per day, along with a daily limit of 100 free text messages. The validity of this scheme is 28 days.

The Rs 199 prepaid scheme also does not impose IUC charges. Vodafone has earlier stated that it would for now not impose 6 paise per minute IUC on customers making voice calls to other non-Vodafone numbers. Jio has already been imposing this IUC. Currently, IUC charges are mandated by TRAI. With the Rs 199 plan now having spread to other circles, those preferring to use their smartphones for heavy content consumption (downloading HD videos and movies) could potentially have lots to cheer about.

In related news, state-led telco BSNL has aggressively been pushing its prepaid users to recharge for the Rs 1699 annual plan. USP of this plan is that it is now valid for 425 days. As far as benefits are concerned, there are free+ unlimited calls up to 250 minutes per day. Daily data offering, under this scheme, is 2GB per day. Then, there are 100 free text messages in a day. This comes at a time when BSNL’s recovery has been announced by the central government. This also includes the likes of a merger between MTNL-BSNL merger and allocation of 4G spectrum to the telco.
