Xiaomi Poco F2 Could Be Hitting The Indian premium Mid-Range Segment Much Earlier

A Xiaomi Poco F2 could be on the cards to be released imminently. New mentions of this phone have now propped up intensively leading Xiaomi loyalists to believe that it would be only about time that the phone is launched officially in India and released.

Now, as per new Geekbench listings, a new smartphone bearing the moniker Xiaomi Poco F2 has apparently been certified and the score that it raked up was 7564 in multi—core Geekbench tests. This smartphone is also shown to have raked up a single-core performance score of 2321. USP of this development is that multiple key technical specifications of the Poco F2 have also surfaced via this Geekbench listing; and gauging the available information, it looks imminent on paper that the smartphone could get an early 2019 launch in India; though not officially confirmed by Xiaomi. AT this point in time, the current-gen Xiaomi Poco F1 received a significant slash in its original price and was available online for Rs 17999.

As far as the rumoured next-gen Poco F2 is concerned, the new Geekbench listings indicate that the handset could offer the below key technical specifications:

• Android 9.0 (Pie) operating system; out of the box
• 6 GB RAM
• Octa-core Qualcomm Snapdragon SoC

Other key technical aspects are yet to surface at this point in time. Here, it is worth noting that the Xiaomi Poco F1 has theoretically turned out to be a phone of preference amongst the premium mid-range smartphone buyers; community in India. Hence, in case the Poco F2 indeed turns out to be a next-gen variant of the Poco F1, then Xiaomi could pose real intensive threats to OnePlus in the Indian premium mid-range segment.
