Ghaziabad Shocker: Video Captures Moment Woman Runs Over Child Playing in Society, Then Flees the Scene

Ghaziabad: A disturbing incident took place on Tuesday around 4 PM at SG Grand Society in Rajendra Nagar Extension, Ghaziabad, when a woman ran over a child playing in the residential area.

A video shared on X shows several children playing in the society when the woman's car hit one of them. The child got trapped under the car's wheel, but a man nearby quickly rushed to help and pulled the child to safety.

The woman got out of the car and briefly approached the injured child, but within moments, she got back in her vehicle and drove off.

The entire incident was captured on camera, and the video went viral, gaining widespread attention.

The driver has been identified as Sandhya, who was reportedly driving her husband Amit's car when the accident occurred. According to the police, the accident happened due to a momentary distraction on the driver's part.

Following the incident, the child's father filed a complaint at the Nandgram police station. The five-year-old child suffered multiple injuries, including a fractured right thigh and several cuts on his right hand, left leg, and back.

The child is currently receiving treatment at Atlanta Hospital in Vasundhara. Based on the complaint, the police have filed a case against Sandhya under Sections 281 and 125B of the Bharatiya Nyay Sanhita (BNS). 

The investigation is ongoing.
