Viral News: The horrifying Air India plane crash in Ahmedabad last week, which claimed the lives of over 270 people, left countless individuals devastated. Among the victims were families, couples, students, tourists, and more. One of the most heartbreaking stories to emerge is that of a British couple whose wedding video has gone viral on social media.
The British couple, identified as Jamie Meek and Fiongal Greenlaw-Meek, were among the passengers aboard the Air India Boeing Dreamliner that tragically crashed shortly after taking off from Ahmedabad airport on June 12.
The viral video shows the couple dancing joyfully at their wedding, with guests also joining in the celebration.
The caption reads, “Woke up this morning and was hoping that yesterday was a dream… It wasn’t. These two beautiful souls lost their lives in the Air India plane crash yesterday morning. You were in the prime of your life, doing what you loved, making a difference… Taken from this world way too soon. Life is so unfair sometimes. RIP. I’m so sorry this has happened to you both. Hold your loved ones tight, everyone, and don’t sweat the small stuff. Love is everything. I will forever remember you both like this—happy and together.”
The heartbreaking video has since surfaced online, with many expressing their grief and sympathy.
One user commented, “I didn’t know them personally, but I cried watching this. How absolutely tragic. They were together at the end, if that’s any consolation. May they rest in peace.”
Another user wrote, “I keep remembering the way he said, ‘going back happily, happily, happily…’ Then he looked up. My deepest condolences from Indonesia. May God receive your soul in the light of His face.”
A third person added, “Beyond tragic! May they rest in peace together. A beautiful couple taken far too soon.”
Another user expressed their sorrow: “My God, this is terrible. Poor lads, breaks your heart. They looked like so much fun. God bless you all.”
The Air India plane, which was headed to London, crashed into a medical hostel in the Meghaninagar area of Ahmedabad shortly after taking off from the city's airport. A total of 270 people, including 242 on board and several individuals on the ground, were killed.
